Review what we learned from Lesson 45 to Lesson 51. In the seven lessons, we were talking about doing homework, taking a bath, going to bed etc. In addition, we are going to review triple finals and a quadruple final we have learned so far. We are going to learn some new words and phrases and do dialog practices together in Mandarin Chinese as well.

Today, we are going to review what we learned from Lesson 45 to Lesson 51.     Very good question!

    Actually, I do not know the exact reason. I only can say that people have been using the words in that way all the time just they were taught like that. I personally think that a language is a tool to express meanings, compared to math or science it does not have a logic reason behind. To express same meaning we often can find different words or phrases. Sometimes the different words or phrases express same meaning, however, sometimes they may have very little difference depending on different situation.

    Yes, if you say “guan shang yan jing”, Chinese people will laugh at you. However, they may understand what you are trying to say.
    If you say “kan yan (open your eyes)”, it has a different meaning, which is to “widen your vision”.

    I am so impressive by your serious learning attitude and persistence. I am so happy! You are an excellent Chinese student!
