In this lesson, we are going to learn more Chinese expressions on self introduction. We are going to focus on how to introduce your occupation.

老师 (lǎo shī) means "teacher"; 学生 (xué sheng) means "student". From this conversation, we know that Aihua is a teacher and Amy is a student.

Again, (ma) is a question particle. It’s added to the end of a sentence when you want to make a question.
